Lamenting to Lucifer

Oh Lucifer
Why did you fall?
You were once loved, most above all.
Oh Lucifer
Why did you stray?
What wasn't there, to make you stay?
Oh Lucifer....
If I asked you to join me and lent you my ear
Would you try to convert me, would you cry in my beer?
Would you tell me a story, would you tell me you're well?
Would you show me some snapshots of you in your hell?
Would you try to convince me that you're in the right?
Would you do some card tricks to show me your might?
Would you do me a favour, would you tell me your tale?
Would you say it in anger or would you weep and wail?
Would you act it all out with brimstone and fire?
Would you tell me what you're after, your heart's desire?
Can you tell me what happenned, can you tell me 'Why'?
So much to know, would you give it a try?
Would you tell me the truth or would you tell me a lie?
Could I tell the difference by the look in your eye?
If I feel compassion for the likes of you
Does that make me evil? A sinner too?
Oh Lucifer...

Are you alright?
Has where you are been worth the fight?

Can't you go back?
Or is it love that you attack?
